"Abilities not Disabilities"

The No Limits Surf Club - "Abilities not Disabilities" is a non profit organisation that was established in 2010. Building on the success of the previous 2 years of surf sessions run under the Surf2Heal banner, it was set up to create an independent surf club in Clare for kids with special needs.

The club is run with the assistance of the Aloha Surf School in Fanore and a team of committed, enthuasiastic volunteers, who give up their time, energy and expertise to share their love of the ocean and the enormous benefits that it brings to these young people and their families.

The surf club volunteers come from a range of backrounds, from family members, care workers, surfers, paramedics, lifeguards, surf instructors and lovers of the ocean. At the beginning of each year, in conjunction with the Aloha Surf School, a comprehensive training program is run for all the volunteers that includes areas such as water safety, autism awareness and child protection.

As the sessions require the use of specialised surfing equipment and the assistance of many volunteers, the No Limits Surf Club is always looking for new volunteers, donations and sponsorship to ensure the future of the club and so that we can continue to spread the stoke of surfing to these kids and that they can continue to enjoy the ocean and all it's benefits in a safe and supervised environment.
